FBSD Episode 27: Promises, Promises

February 9th, 2007 · Author: Tony · 4 Comments

Another solo show this week, but full of a random assortment of things.

This show features all four of my Pickle Tales submissions.

We have another promo for Tee Morris’ Billibub Baddings and the Case of the Singing Sword.

I do a book review of Rush and the Grey Fox by Jon Klement.

Very special thanks to Stu for the incredible banner that he did. Awesome!

    Odyssey references:

    Sirens
    One eyed guy = cyclops
    Penny = Penelope

I’m sure there were more but those are the only ones that sprang out.

    Excellent Stu.
And thanks again for the awesome banner!

There are quite a few more… I’m not going to give them away quite yet, I’m waiting to see how many people get :D

    Tony,

The sound quality seemed good this time. I didn’t pick up any of the pops that I heard in the last show.

And, I must confess, I generally fell behind in all podcast listening over the holidays and I never managed to get into Pickle Tales. It was good to get the chance to hear all your stories.

Valentine’s day special, eh? Well, I’m sure the Fanboys will make it cool.

Definitely nice work on the banner, Stu.

Great show! My “issues” are gone, as well.

Since it seems I don’t even have enough time to turn around these days, I didn’t pick up the Pickle Tales feed, either. I’ve even had to drop a few podcasts recently! You did a great job, Tony. Thanks for sharing your stories.

As far as the Odyssey references, I think I misunderstood what you were wanting us to look for. I thought we were looking for references to other Odysseys, not “THE” Odyssey. I’ll have to listen to the story again to see what I can come up with.

Great job on the banner, Stu!
